It has been said that the two most powerful ways to communicate to this generation is through media and music.

The Knock is more than just a music review....

It's the place where you can find music that resonates with our generation.

It's where you can find out about worship choruses you can use in your service.

It's the place where you'll hear about albums that will inspire you.

It's also the place where we can help you save your money by not buying a cd not worth your listening time!

It's simple. We have a scaling system to rate music.

1 Knock = Fair
2 Knocks = Good
3 Knocks = Excellent
4 Knocks = Incredible
5 Knocks = Off the Chain, get up and go buy it or download it on iTunes now!

Johnathan Dean, Youth Music Minister from the Pentecostals of Alexandria, is one of the UPCI's premier praise worship leaders and is well known for his ability to lead our generation into heart-felt, vertical worship. He will be our lead analyst, along with other guest contributors, providing the content for The Knock.

And if you think that's cool...think about this...

Do you have a band? Got some music you'd like to debut? Send it in to the Commune-ity for a Knock review! And if your bold enough...provide us with permission to present a sound clip on the site for the Neighbors to review! See how many knocks you get with our online poll!

Please be advised that music and books reviewed on The Knock and The Reading Lounge are for the purpose of providing information to our subscribers that will assist them in making informed decisions about elements of today's youth culture. Because the nature of student ministry is dynamic and requires student ministers to be well-versed in their knowledge of diverse musical and literary genres, occasionally we review books and music that are authored by people who may not have the same doctrinal beliefs and/or approaches to lifestyle issues.

The General Youth Division provides these reviews as an informational resource only and not an actual endorsement of the doctrinal beliefs and/or lifestyles that the authors or musicians may espouse.
